Announced a plan in January to close up 450 stores after filing for bankruptcy, but decided to close all of its doors after Covid-19. Pier 1 had 3 locations in Louisville: Shelbyville Rd, S. Hurstbourne Pkwy and The Paddock Shops
Closed 333 stores in 2019, in 2020 they expect to close around 320 more. At this time we have no word on which stores it will close.
Is closing 251 stores doors between Canada and the U.S. CEO Stuart Burgdoerfer expects there to be more closures in 2021. No word on which stores will clost at this time.
Gap, Old Navy & Athleta
Gap brands has announced in February 19th it planned on closing 230 stores over the next 2 years.
Filed for bankruptcy in May and plans to close 230 stores. No word yet on which stores will close at this time.
In August 2019, Walgreens announced that they planned to close 200 locations in order to cut costs. It has since annouced to add 750 store closures by the end of the year.
Chico's, Soma & White House Black Market
Last year Chico's planed to close about 250 stores over the next 3 years.
Filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September of 2019 and is expected to close 350 stores globally.
Is put together a cost savings plan and is set to close 125 stores and cut thousands of corporate jobs.
Bath & Body Works
Is set to close 50 stores across the US, but still has plans on opening 26 new locations.
Bed, Bath & Beyond
Plans on closing 60 stores in 2020.
Filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and set to close 242 stores, leaving 600 remaining locations. No word yet on which stores will be closing yet.
Has announced they will be closing several stores in the United States and focus more on Digital Sales.
Has field for bankruptcy and said it will close several stores across the US, but has not released a statement as to which stores.
