Louisville Free Public Library Offers Free WiFi Hot Spots during NTI

Jefferson County Public Schools announced on Sunday Night at 6:30pm to close on Monday due to staffing shortages and Non Traditional Instruction (NTI) the rest of the week. Leaving many parents with lack of resources and options. Many schools have since passed out laptops to students, however some students do not have access to WiFi at home. The Louisville Free Public Library has announced they are offering free WiFi Hot Spots to students during NTI.
Funded through the Federal Government’s Emergency Connectivity Fund, LFPL is now offering a limited number of free wireless internet hotspots available on a first-come, first-served basis to patrons who otherwise lack access to internet service. Hotspots are available to help meet the educational needs of our patrons by providing free, in-home internet access until June 30, 2022.
This program is intended for learners of all ages, but hotspots must be requested and checked out by someone who is at least 18 years of age. One hotspot per household, please.
