LIGHTS UNDER LOUISVILLE IS TRULY A HOLIDAY WONDERLAND!

Each year the LOUISVILLE MEGA CAVERN is transformed into an underground holiday light spectacular for the Christmas season. Enjoy a 30 minute ride through part of our 17 miles of underground passageways. Featuring over 900 lit characters with over 4,000,000 points of light. It's the only underground light show of its kind on the planet!

LIGHTS UNDER LOUISVILLE at the Louisville Mega Cavern allows the public to drive their own vehicle through the cavern during the Christmas season. This year's Light Up activities will include: - Lots of Lights Parade on Jefferson Street - The vendor village with food, drinks and crafts to explore - A children's activity area where we will have children write their letters to Santa and take home individually wrapped activities to complete with family! - The arrival of the REAL Santa Claus and lighting of the lights - And so much more fun!

Second Annual Lights On Main

615 W. Main Street

Lights on Main is a display of live Christmas trees in Downtown Louisville located in the Resurfaced lot at 615 W. Main St. An anticipated 60 trees will be decorated for the holiday season, intended to promote community and attract patrons to the downtown business district. Each tree is sponsored and decorated by a local corporation, group, family, or individual. This is a FREE community event. Trees will be on display from November 26th - December 12th. Food trucks, photo ops, letters to the North Pole, pictures with Santa, and a hot cocoa bar will be available every Saturday (11/27, 12/4, and 12/11).

Monday and Tuesday: Closed

Wednesday & Thursday: 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Friday, Saturday, & Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 9:00

Vote for your favorite tree to help your favorite businesses win the "Fan Favorite" award. Other awards to look for include Most Unique, Most Festive, Most Lou Spirit, Best Company Branding, and Most Unique.

Light Up Jeffersonville & Holiday Parade

November 27 at 4pm

Celebrate the holiday season with the City of Jeff!

Republic Bank presents Light Up Jeff is scheduled for Saturday, November 27th at Warder Park.

The North Pole Party begins at 4 pm. It features games, music, rides, vendors and visits with Santa & Mrs. Claus.

The Holiday Light Up Parade gets rolling at 6 pm. Find a spot on Spring Street – Market to 7th – and watch as the floats, bands and other participants ride by.

After the parade, Mayor Mike Moore will flip the switch to light up Warder Park.

*The lighting at Warder Park is designed and installed by Holiday Light Works.

Come to the park for the FIRST EVER Crestwood sponsored holiday LIGHT UP ceremony! The Deibel Barn and Tree will be filled with lights again this holiday season. Help count down to turn the lights on!

5pm – 7pm – Come decorate festive holiday ornaments in the Deibel Barn FREE courtesy of Oldham County Public Library! Take an ornament home for your tree and hang one at the park tree!

6pm – LIGHT UP Ceremony Countdown with Caroling, Cookies, & Cocoa courtesy of Crestwood Methodist Church!

Enjoy a sparkling winter wonderland of swans, snowflakes, deer, Moravian stars, oversized flowers, light bursts, candles, and a multicolor tunnel of lights. Wander the Beargrass Creek Pathway under icicle arches and a waterfall stream aglow. Visit Santa and his sleigh in the Graeser Family Education Center and Mrs Claus’ Cottage in the new Ellen T Leslie Botanical Classrooms*.

Hot beverages and cookies available for purchase from Khalil’s in the Jingle All the Way Cafe.

Once you arrive, you are welcome to stay as long as you like, however, 45 minutes is ample time for a thorough visit. Lights turn off at 9pm.

Light Up St. Matthews

Brown Park

December 4 from 3-6pm

Light Up St. Matthews has been a tradition for decades for thousands of residents and visitors to the City of St. Matthews. The annual holiday event features musical entertainment, letters to Santa, pictures with Santa, train rides, ice skating, activities for the kids, and fun for the entire family. Free cookies and hot chocolate are available for everyone to enjoy. No matter the weather, most activities are held under a big tent. The event begins at 3:00 p.m. and concludes at 6:00 p.m. when the switch is thrown and Brown Park “Lights Up” with thousands and thousands of colorful holiday lights.

The event is held at Brown Park in St. Matthews, located at the corner of Kresge Way and Browns Lane, next to Baptist Health Hospital. Free parking for the event is at the Baptist Health Louisville doctors building, 4007 Kresge Way, directly across from the hospital with easy access to the park via a signaled crosswalk.

Get a great start to the holiday season with family, neighbors and friends, and best of all, … it’s FREE!

The seasonal lights will stay lit nightly until after the New Year. Residents and visitors to the community are welcome to visit the park daily throughout the holiday season to enjoy the lights.

Due to COVID-19, the City of Shepherdsville will do a “drive-through” event this year for Light Up Shepherdsville. First Street Park will be lighted up so families can remain safe in their vehicles and see all the beautiful displays throughout the park.
