Special Ticket Required. A Louisville tradition for over 40 years, Boo at the Zoo, presented by Meijer, transforms your Zoo into a living storybook, complete with some of your favorite characters brought to life, fun music and a safe place for trick-or-treating for kids 11 and under. We’re celebrating with an all inclusive party experience designed to give you all the kooky you love with none of the spooky. Our reduced nightly capacity eliminates the scary traffic delays when arriving for the party. Parking is easy and convenient in the Zoo’s lot and FREE for party guests!

The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular began in Oxford, Massachusetts in 1988. The Louisville event, celebrating its 9th year in 2021, is held in Iroquois Park with 5,000 carved pumpkins illuminated at night as an “art show”. The show runs daily from dusk to

11PM, weekdays (Sunday-Thursday), and closes at midnight on Friday & Saturday.

• 5,000+ illuminated pumpkins with more than 100 pumpkins carved into veritable works of art

• Presented, each year, in newly themed scenes, with music

• Proceeds benefit the Parks Alliance of Louisville

Lurking in the shadows of West Main Street, the creepy creatures of Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory have arisen for another ghoulish Home Run Halloween. Beginning October 10th, Sundays in October will be fangtastic with half-off kids admission and, of course, candy!

We invite you to join us for our annual Movie in the Park to celebrate Harvest Homecoming festivities before the open ceremonies. 𝘊𝘳𝘶𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢, starring Emma Stone, will be shown on our GIANT movie screen.

Park opens at 6:00 p.m., movie starts at dark, approximately 7:30 p.m.

Don't forget your favorite movie snack, a blanket and chair, and, of course, your family and friends!

Arts and crafts and activities as usual, Pumpkin carving, costume contest and campsite/cabin decorating contest! Halloween campers are known for competitive decorating, outdoor cooking and having a good time. Prizes awarded for first-fifth places in campsite/cabin contests. Don’t forget candy for the trick or treaters (approx. 450-500 kids)!

Hocus Pocus Movie Night

October 8 at 7:30 pm

Cabela's Sporting Good Store

We will be streaming Hocus Pocus in our parking lot for free! The movie is set to start at 7:30pm, but if it is not dark enough, it could be delayed. Bring your own chairs and blankets to sit on. We recommend chairs since the movie is being streamed in a parking lot, not a field. A boy scout troop will also be present to sell popcorn.

Happy Halloween! It’s time to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve with kids and adults. No candy required. Jack o’ Lantern carvings is the most popular symbol of Halloween, it once believed that a lit up gourd captures the souls of the dead. Would you DARE bring this spooky painting home with you?

Enjoy this class in a full black light glow! Relive the 80s-90s and paint with bright neon colors that will glow on your palette and canvas! Get here early to paint your hands and face.

It's a fun day out for the whole family! This painting is recommended for ages 12 years or older. All family members must have a paid seat to attend this event.

Movies in the Park is an all new Community Program for 2021! All movies are FREE and will be shown at St. Matthews Community Park (310 Ten Pin Lane) in Trinity Stadium. Movies are shown on select Fridays of each month (August – October), and all movies begin at sundown. Be sure to bring a blanket or your favorite stadium seat cushion as all seating will be on bleachers at Trinity Stadium. No alcohol or smoking is allowed. Concessions will be sold (cash) on site. Join us in your Halloween costume for a special costume contest! Prizes to be announced.

Jack O'Lantern stroll returns Friday, October 22!

Enjoy hundreds of beautifully carved pumpkins lining the front of St. Francis of Assisi.

There will be concessions to purchase and trick or treat stations for the kiddos.

Mike Bush and The All Stars will rock out during the evening! They are such a great band and will make the evening fun for all!

We ask for a $5 donation per child to participate in trick or treating. (You can always donate more!)

Join us for our first-ever Trick-or-Treat at the Ballpark presented by Republic Bank on Friday, October 22. Come out in costume and enjoy a different Halloween experience in a safe, family-friendly environment. Kids may trick-or-treat on the concourse from 6:30-8:00 PM as participating sponsors will be set up with treats for the children. All attendees are welcome to stay for a special movie showing of Hocus Pocus on our huge high-definition video boards beginning at 8:00 PM.
