Everyone can be part of the Anchorage Independence Day Parade this year!! We are allowing motorized vehicles, horses, bikers, walkers, strollers, and wagons again this year! We are returning to our shorter route that ends Wagner Park (for our Picnic)!
To participate in the parade itself, decorate your car, trailer, golf cart, tractor, horse, bike or scooter and show your patriotic spirit. We encourage you to get creative!!
Registration begins at 3:30 p.m. in the Anchorage Presbyterian Church parking lot. The parade begins at 4:00 p.m. and ends at the Independence Day Picnic at Wagner Park!

Barren River Lake State Resort Park 4th of July 2021 Sunday, July 4 Back to the Beach! The fireworks show will be held at the state park on Sunday July 4th. There will be 6 food vendors and beach parking. Hosted by the non-profit Friends of Barren River Lake and park. Sunset Cove (beach area) opens at 2pm with a fee of $15 per vehicle to help fund future fireworks shows. For more info call (270) 646-2151.
Ft. Boonesborough State Park Cool History on Hot Days - 4th of July Special Event Saturday, July 3, 9:00am - 5:00pm Our annual Saturday series of Cool History on Hot Days starts off with a special celebration of our nation's independence. We will be celebrating this special moment in history throughout the day with a reading of the Declaration of Independence, military musters for kids, special living history demonstrations including the celebratory firing of rifles and other activities. The Transylvania Store Gift Shop and the Kentucky River Museum will also be open. Kenlake State Resort Park Independence Day Celebration Friday, July 2, 6:00pm - 10:00pm Our Independence Day Celebration is back for 2021! Music by the Sullivan 3 will begin at 6:30 followed by the Kenlake Marina Fireworks Display at dusk. This event is FREE but concessions will be available. Rough River Dam State Resort Park CONCERT IN THE PARK starts July 4th Holiday with Free Concert! Friday, July 2 Guests will start the the 4th of July weekend off with a bang when they attend Concert in the Park this Friday! Friends of Rough River will help provide entertainment by sponsoring Marina Hardin & The Habit Band on the patio which faces Rough River Lake. This is a concert you don't want to miss. This band will play favorite cover songs that will have everyone dancing and singing along. Rough River Dam State Resort Park FIREWORKS OVER ROUGH RIVER LAKE! Saturday, July 3 2021 sees a return of fireworks over the lake! Make your plans to attend this yearly celebration of our nation's birth. Friends of Rough River will sponsor fireworks at the Beach area. The beach will be closed at noon to allow setup. Enjoy a delicious meal in the Grayson's Landing Restaurant, find souvenirs in the Gift Shop to and enjoy live entertainment on the grounds. Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park Summer Concert Series July 2 & 3, 6:00pm – 8:00pm Plan a lovely evening Fourth of July weekend with dining and music with a million dollar view. Wickliffe Mounds State Historic Site Hands On History Saturdays Saturday, July 3, 10:00am - 3:00pm July 3 - Jr. Ranger program—Become a Jr. Ranger by learning about Lewis and Clark Trail history and completing an activity book. We’ll try out feather quill writing just like the olden days! Booklets suitable for kids going in to 3rd thru 6th grades. Younger kids can participate with Lewis and Clark Coloring pages and can earn the Badge and certificate of Jr. Ranger as well. Great for all ages. Sessions last about 30-45 minutes, and are included with paid museum admission of $6 adults/$4 kids, seniors, military.
